Emily Biondi recieved a kidney transplant December 19th 2003. At the age of 19 she had complete kidney failure for reasons unknown. Emily underwent 9 months of hemodialysis. Her father came to her rescue by donating one of his kidneys to her. She currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland and is very healthy and active. She continues to be a huge supporter of organ donation. She competes in track and field at the National and World Transplant Games. She has won a total of 14 medals since her transplant!
